The Sacramento Kings are not having much of a good time at Disney World, as they have lost four of five games in Walt’s kingdom. The Houston Rockets, on the other hand, have gone 3-1 straight up since the season restart. Will the Kings have something to feel royal about this Sunday? Or will the Rockets add more to Sacramento’s misery?

Without Russell Westbrook, the Rockers handily beat the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday night, 113-97. Westbrook sat out the contest due to a “quad” issue, though, it was just an excuse for Houston to rest the former MVP. Westbrook’s absence cancels out the Lakers not having LeBron James, who was also resting a “groin” ailment. The good thing for the Rockets also was that they still had James Harden cooking in that game. The Beard scored 30 points with 12 assists and five 3-pointers. If the Rockets are going to rest Westbrook again in the upcoming game against Sacramento, then Ben McLemore might have another shot at starting again. The former Kansas Jayhawk spot started for Brodie against the Lakers and finished with 20 points and five triples. The Rockets, who are leading all teams in the Orlando bubble with 20.3 3-pointers per game, are 5-1 against the spread in the last six times they met Sacramento.
Betting on the Sacramento Kings (odds)
Regular Season Record: 29-40
A day after scorching hot in a 140-124 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, the Kings got sent back down to Earth hard by the Brooklyn Nets in a 119-106 loss on Friday. Sacramento put up a sloppy brand of basketball in that game, which had the Kings shooting just 42.7 percent from the field, 30 percent from deep, committing 15 turnovers, and fouling 26 times. They also saw center Richaun Holmes exit the game for good due to a hip issue after he played just 11 minutes. However, it’s already been reported that Holmes is available to play against the Nets, so that’s some good news for the Kings, who are seventh in the Orlando bubble in scoring, as of this writing, with 118.0 points per game on 46.7 percent shooting from the field. The Kings can draw some confidence ahead of the Rockets game from their 119-118 road win over Houston on Dec.9, 2020, when Nemanja Bjelica stunned the crowd at the Toyota Center with a buzzer-beating, game-winning triple.
The Kings are 2-1 against the spread in their last three games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Rockets win, 121-113.
