Regular Season Record: 7-3
The Seahawks ended a two-game losing skid by defeating the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 11, 28-21. Russell Wilson paced the team with 197 passing yards and a couple of touchdowns on 23-of-28 completions, with Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf each catching Wilson’s TD passes. On the season, Wilson has 2,986 passing yards and 30 passing touchdowns against 10 interceptions. The Seahawks are the second-highest scoring team in the NFL as of this writing, as they are making 31.8 points per game. They are also fourth overall with 400.0 total yards per game. What’s also helping Seattle’s cause is the rise of its defense that showed life in the Arizona game, thanks in large part to Carlos Dunlap. The veteran defensive end had two of the Seahawks’ three defensive sacks against the Cardinals, who were also limited to just 57 rushing yards on 18 carries. Dunlap could wreak havoc against the Eagles’ offensive line that has allowed 40 sacks this season — the worst mark by any NFL team.
The over is 4-2 in the Seahawks’ last six road games.
Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles (+5)
Regular Season Record: 3-6-1
Despite his struggles, Carson Wentz appears to be starting again in Week 12, with head coach Doug Pederson expressing this. Wentz was a disaster under center last week, as he finished the Eagles’ 22-17 road loss to the Cleveland Browns with two interceptions and five sacks for a loss of 26 yards, negating his 235 passing yards on 21-of-35 completions. A much-needed help for Wentz could be on the way, however, as tight end Zach Ertz is reportedly likely to play this week after a long absence due to an ankle injury. He last saw action in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. As mentioned earlier, the Eagles’ quarterback protection has been a mess this season, and with Seattle’s pass rush looking sharp of late, Philly has to quickly fix its offensive line. On the other side of the field, the Eagles have a great pass rush that has recorded 34 defensive sacks, third overall this season.
The Eagles, who are averaging 22.0 points per game, are
The Eagles are 2-1 against the spread in their last three home games. The under is also 8-2 in their last 10 games at Lincoln Financial Field.
Writer’s Prediction
