Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (+2.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-0

The Vikings looked scary in Week 1, destroying Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at home, 23-7. Justin Jefferson was incredible, going off for 184 receiving yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions. New Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell does look like he has the right answers for Minnesota’s offense that might only get better. Minnesota could explode anew in Week 2 against the Eagles’ defense that nearly allowed 40 points to the Detroit Lions who did not even average more than 20 points in 2021.

The Vikings are 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 games in September. The Over is 4-0 in the Vikings’ last four games as an underdog.

Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-0

The Eagles beat Detroit in Week 1 on the road, 38-35. It showed that Philly’s offense is no joke. At the same time, it showed that the Eagles’ defense, as mentioned earlier, needs to be tighter. If they can’t do it right away in Week 2, they can still rely on their offense that looked stacked, especially after the arrival of former Tennessee Titans wide receiver AJ Brown, who exploded for 155 receiving yards on 10 receptions in Week 1. Then there’s their rushing attack that had 216 yards and four touchdowns on the ground versus Detroit.

The Eagles are 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games as a home favorite. The Under is 4-1 in the Eagles’ last five Monday games.
