The Eagles have clinched a playoff spot officially after destroying the New York Giants on the road in Week 15, 48-22. Not that it was in question, but Philly finally booking a spot in the postseason is another reminder of just how unstoppable the Eagles are this season, so far. Jalen Hurts passed for 217 yards and two touchdowns on 21/31 completions versus the Giants. He also added 77 rushing yards and and a TD on just seven carries. With Hurts playing at an MVP level and a talented group of weapons around the QB, the Eagles could blow out the Bears, whose defense is 29th in the NFL with 25.6 points allowed per game.
The Eagles are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games after a win.
Betting on the Chicago Bears (+9.0)
Regular Season Record: 3-10
The Bears just want a win. They are not going to make the posteason, with winning any game being a tough challenge for the team. But so long as Justin Fields is healthy, the Bears have someone to carry them at least within distance of their opponents. Fields job is tough and he’s not having plenty of success, but he’s proven he can be a headache and a huge thorn in the sides of opponents because of his ability to pick up yards on the ground. In the Bears’ 28-19 loss at home to the Green Bay Packers in Week 13 before a Week 15 bye, Fields had 71 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries.
The Over is 7-0 in the Bears’ last seven games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Eagles win, 33-14.
