The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears will meet for the second and last time this season. Will the Packers beat Chicago again? The Packers might not have Aaron Rodgers available to play in Week 13 after the future Hall of Fame quarterback suffered an apparent rib injury in Week 12’s 40-33 road loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. If Rodgers can’t go, it will be Jordan Love who’ll start for the Packers in the rematch against the Bears. Love had 113 passing yards and a touchdown on 6/9 completions in Week 12. An absence for Rodgers would also mean an increased workload for Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. Jones had 132 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries in Green Bay’s 27-10 win over the Bears back in 2, while Dillon rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on eight carries against Philly.
The Packers are 7-0 against the spread in their last seven meetings with Chicago.
Missing Justin Fields in Week 12, the Bears suffered a 31-10 road loss to the New York Jets. Fields was absent in that game due to a shoulder injury, and his status for Week 13 is still up in the air, as of this writing. Trevor Siemian might get another start if Fields gets ruled out again for the game against Green Bay this coming Sunday. The Bears also lost a weapon in wide receiver Darnell Mooney, who exited the Jets game with an ankle injury that is feared to be season-ending. The hope for the Bears is that Fields will be ready to play in Week 13. He has been better since the last time the Bears met Green Bay, though, his improvement hasn’t been translating to wins for Chicago. That said, Green Bay has gotten worse since the last meeting, making the Packers a prime candidate to be victimized in Week 13.
