The Pittsburgh Steelers failed to follow up their win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 with another, as they fell prey to the Miami Dolphins on the road in Week 7, 16-10. They can get it back to winning again this coming Sunday, but it’s going to be easier said than done, especially since they will be up against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, who are well-rested coming off a bye in Week 7. Kenny Pickett has a long way to go before becoming a reliable starter in the NFL. In the loss to Miami, he went 32/44 for 257 passing yards and a touchdown with three interceptions. His only touchdown was when he hooked up with fellow rookie and wide receiver George Pickens, who scored his first TD in the NFL. That could be the start of a hot streak for Pickens, who together with tight end Pat Freiermuth carried most of the burden downfield for Pittsburgh in Week 7. The Steelers’ defense could be the x-factor, though, in Week 8. Pittsburgh has given up just 28 points in its last two games. Plus, the Eagles might have some rusts to shake off after not seeing action for a while.

The Eagles are on cruise control right now. Coming off a bye, they should have fresh legs when they get make their way back to action to take on a struggling Steelers squad. The The Eagles are having success on both sides of the ball. Pittsburgh is fourth in the NFL with 26.8 points per game and fourth also in scoring defense with just 17.5 points allowed per outing. Jalen Hurts has thrown for 1,514 passing yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions so far this season and has rushed for 293 yards and six scores. The Steelers are not yet ready for a team like Philly.
The Eagles are 6-3-1 against the spread in their last 10 games at home.
