Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (-3.0)
Regular Season Record: 2-3
Slow starts are a huge problem this season for the Cardinals. Against the Eagles, Arizona went scoreless in the first period and also in the third quarter. Perhaps a game against the Swiss cheese defense of the Seahawks could translate to a much more explosive start for the Cardinals’ offense that might not have James Conner on Sunday. Conner injured his ribs in Week 5, though, it appears he will just be fine for Week 6. Either way, Cardinals running backs should have fun against Seattle’s atrocious defense against the run.
The Cardinals are 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six games in Week 6.
Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (+3.0)
Regular Season Record: 2-3
Say what you want about the Seahawks, but they do seem to be playing above their punching weight despite just being 2-3. If it weren’t for their bad defense, Geno Smith would be getting so much attention again after a solid performance against the Saints in which he passed for three touchdowns with zero interceptions. Meanwhile, rookie running back Kenneth Walker III just had finally broken out, rushing for 88 yards and a touchdown on eight carries versus Seattle.
The Over is 6-1 in the Seahawks’ last seven games against a team with a losing record.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cardinals win, 33-20.
