It’s getting more and more disappointing for the Arizona Cardinals, as they just lost two to the Seattle Seahawks – again – last Sunday, 31-21. The Cardinals now look to avoid getting swept in the regular season by another division rival, as they visit the Los Angeles Rams this coming Sunday. The Rams, who are coming off a 16-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road last Sunday, beat Arizona back in Week 3 in Glendale, 20-12. Regular Season Record: 3-6
Kyler Murray had a good effort in the Seattle game, but it was obviously not enough for the Cardinals. Nevertheless, his performance in that contest gave him something good to feel about heading into the rematch against the Rams. Murray passed for 174 yads and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 25/35 completions versus the Seahawks. He also rushed for 60 yards on eight carries. In the first meeting with the Rams, he threw for 314 yards but had zero touchdowns and was just 37/58. Unlike in that game, though, the Cardinals’ upcoming matchup against LA will have star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on the field. He is a game-changer.
The Cardinals are 10-4 against the spread in their last 14 road games.
Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (-3.0)
Regular Season Record: 3-5
The Rams’ offense is still in disarray. They have not scored more than 14 points in two straight games, but that could change for the better in Week 10. For one, Arizona’s defense is among the worst in the NFL. The Cardinals are 31st in the league with 26.8 points per game and 26th with 368.9 total yards allowed per game. Matthew Stafford passed for 249 yards on 18/25 completions in the win over the Cards, while Cam Akers and Cooper Kupp each had a rushing touchdown in that contest. Arizona has Hopkins, but the Rams have Kiupp, who’s been sensational this season, coming up with 813 receiving yads and six touchdowns, so far.
The Under is 6-1 in the Rams’ last seven games after a loss.
Writer’s Prediction
The Rams win, 26-23.
