The Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Rams play on Christmas Day, which would have been a bigger game if only the two teams are still in playoff contention. Nevertheless, expect both teams to slug it out to give their fans something to feel good about. Will the Broncos win in Russell Wilson’s first game back? Or will the Rams get their second win in the Baker Mayfield “era”? Check out our preview of this Broncos vs Rams game in Week 16 of the 2022 NFL regular season.

Betting on the Denver Broncos (-3.0)
Regular Season Record: 4-10
The Broncos finally ended their five-game losing streak last Sunday when they took down the Arizona Cardinals at home, 24-15. And the quarterback to deliver Denver that win? Brett Rypien! But Rypien will step back to his second-string status this week, though, with Russell Wilson expected to pay after missing the Cardinals game with a concussion. While it’s still difficult to feel excited about the Broncos’ offense, they should have enough firepower to trouble the seemingly equally anemic Rams’ attack of late. Los Angeles has scored just 29 points in its last two games. The good thing for the Broncos is that they have a stout defense that is allowing just 18.1 points per game, third-best in the NFL.
The Under is 4-1 in the Broncos’ last five games versus a team with a losing record.
Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (+3.0)
Regular Season Record: 4-10
After a magical win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Baker Mayfield’s debut for the Rams, Los Angeles returned in the loss column, as they fell prey to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field last Monday to the tune of a 24-12 score. The Rams are hurting. They’ve got lots of banged-up bodies. But this is a team that can still be competitive in Week 16 because Denver is not a very good team. The same can be said about the Rams, but at least playing as the home team in Week 16. The home team in this matchup is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings overall.
The Rams are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven December games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Broncos win, 24-17.
