Regular Season Record: 4-7
Washington isn’t going to win the Super Bowl this season, but at times, they can look very dangerous. Such was the case last Thanksgiving when they annihilated the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, 41-16. The young duo of running back Antonio Gibson and wide receiver Terry McLaurin is looking like the team’s future. Gibson rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries, while McLaurin racked up 92 receiving yards on seven catches. The Steelers’ defense has been great this season, but Pittsburgh’s coming off an ugly win against a decimated Baltimore Ravens roster, which managed to put up 129 rushing yards on 28 carries despite missing the top three guys in its backfield in Lamar Jackson, Mark Ingram, and JK Dobbins. Gibson is every-improving and McLaurin is always a threat against any team, so don’t be surprised if you see both making a killing in Week 13.
Washington is 4-2 against the spread in its last six games overall.
Betting on the Pittsburgh Steelers (-8)
Regular Season Record: 11-0
Sure, the Steelers got their 11th win of the season after defeating the Ravens last Wednesday (feels weird writing that) to the tune of a 19-14 score, but Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin is not impressed by it, as his team played sloppily in that game. The Steelers scored just a touchdown and averaged only 3.4 yards on 20 carries. Pittsburgh’s receivers also dropped passes left and right, so outside of the win, there’s nothing to feel good about for the Steelers. However, that could also be charged to the anxiety brought about by the multiple times that game had to be rescheduled. A return to form could be in store for the Steelers, who are sixth in the NFL with 28.8 points per game and fifth with 3.5 touchdowns per contest.
The Steelers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games at home.
Writer’s Prediction
The Steelers in, 29-20.
