Betting on the Washington Football Team (+9.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-1

Washington has yet to cover this season, but it has finally cracked the win column with a 30-29 home victory over the New York Giants in Week 2’s Thursday Night Football game. Taylor Heinicke, making his first start of the season in lieu of Ryan Fitzpatrick, delivered for Washington. He went 34/46 for 336two touchdowns and an interception against the Giants. Wide receiver Terry McLaurin is making Heinicke’s job easier. McLaurin is one of the most sensational, sure-handed wideouts in the NFL today, and he showed that by wowing Washington fans with a 107-yard, 1-touchdown effort on 11/14 catches in Week 2. The play of the offensive line will be a big key for Washington against the Bills. The Football Team allowed just a sack in the Giants game, which is a good sign ahead going into Week 3. As for their own defense, Washington will be in for a challenge against a rejuvenated Buffalo defense, but Chase Young and company are no pushovers. The Football Team sacked Daniel Jones four times and hit him seven times in Week 2.

The under is 7-3 in Washington’s last 10 games overall.

Bet on the Washington Football Team

Betting on the Buffalo Bills (-9.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-1

Buffalo did what it had to do in Week 2. The Bills were not going to allow themselves lose the first two games of the season, as they obliterated the Miami Dolphins on the road last Sunday, 35-0. Buffalo’s defense was unforgiving in that game, recording six sacks and interception. Overall, the Bills forced three Miami turnovers. That quality of defense was what was quite missing in the Bills’ Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. With their moxie back, expect Buffalo to make loud noises against Washington. Heinicke has been decent under center for Washington, but he’s yet to face an elite defense. It’s very possible that it’s in Week 3 where Heinicke gets his first true baptism of fire this season. Meanwhile, Josh Allen will look to put up a stronger performance after passing for just 179 yards and two touchdowns with an interception on 17/33 completions. His ability to tuck the ball and run with it could be more prominent against Washington that allowed Daniel Jones to rush for 95 yards and a TD in Week 2.

The Bills are 6-4 against the spread in their last 10 games overall.
