Although the Jets lost in Week 13 on the road to the Minnesota Vikings, expect them to start Mike White again under center in this rematch versus the Bills. Say what you want about White, but the Jets’ offense just looks more productive than when it is being run by Zach Wilson. In the Vikings game, White went 31/57 for 369 passing yards, zero interceptions, and two picks. The Jets also are hoping they can get back running back Michael Carter in Week 14. In any case, the pair of Zonovan Knight and Ty Johnson seems capable of handling the duties on the ground. In the first meeting with the Bills, the Jets rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries. But it’s New York’s defense that will be the most crucial for the team in the rematch versus the Bills. Remember that New York sacked Josh Allen five times and picked him off twice in Week 9.
The Jets are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games after a loss.
Betting on the Buffalo Bills (-9.5)
Regular Season Record: 9-3
The Bills can’t wait to face the Jets. Coming off a 24-10 road win against the New England Patriots in a Thursday Night Football Game in Week 13, the Bills are well-rested and definitely so eager to meet the Jets again. Buffalo’s offense has been better – much better – since getting upset by the Jets, having averaged 28.3 points in the four games after that loss. The Bills played sloppy in the first meeting with New York, but a great team like theirs can’t be as bad for the second time against the same team, especially since they are going to be the home team in the rematch.
The Bills, who are second in the NFL with 27.8 points per game this season, are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 meetings with the Jets.
Writer’s Prediction
The Bills win, 27-14.
