Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals (-1)

Regular Season Record: 5-4

Hopefully for the Bengals, the bye in Week 10 helped them greatly in fixing their issues following back-to-back losses to the New York Jets (34-31) on the road and the Cleveland Browns (41-16) at home. The defense has been bad of late for the Benglasm having allowed 75 points in the last two games. That being said, the Bengals are 11th in the NFL with 22.6 points allowed per game. After scoring just 16 points in the Browns game, Cincy can explode anew on offense against the Raiders. Cincinnati is seventh in the league in red-zone touchdown scoring percentage. They are almost money in the bank when they reach that part of the field, and that sounds worrisome for the Raiders, who are second-worst overall with opponents scoring touchdowns 75 percent of the time in the red zone.

The Bengals are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games after a loss.

Bet on the Bengals

Betting on the Las Vegas Raiders (+1)

Regular Season Record: 5-4

Like the Bengals, the Raiders are on a two-game losing skid, having lost to the New York Giants in Week 9 on the road, 23-16, and to the Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 10, 41-14. Las Vegas was unfortunately the team Patrick Mahomes and company had decided to be their launching pad of their comeback tour. The Raiders simply couldn’t contain Kansas City’s offense, but it’s a different story this week for Las Vegas. While the Bengals are another potent team on offense, they often shoot themselves in the foot in the form of Joe Burrow interceptions. Burrow has 11 interceptions on the season. The Bengals are 30th in the league in offensive interception rate, in part because Burrow is always under pressure. The Bengals are 25th in quarterback sack rate to go with 25 total sacks allowed.

The Raiders are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games as the underdog.

Writer’s Prediction

The Bengals win, 21-17.
