Betting on the Denver Broncos (odds)
Regular Season Record: 7-7
The Broncos returned to .500 after losing to the Cincinnati Bengals at home in Week 15, 15-10. In their next game, the Broncos might not have Teddy Bridgewater on the field, as the quarterback suffered a concussion against Cincinnati. It will likely be Drew Lock starting for Denver in the rematch against the Raiders, who won in the first meeting between these two teams at Mile High Stadium, 34-24, back in Week 6. The tandem of Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams should also expect a heavier workload if Bridgewater gets ruled out. Williams has been a surprise for the Broncos this season, as he formed a solid 1-2 punch in the backfield with Gordon. The two combined for 103 rushing yards on 21 carries in Week 6.
The Broncos are 5-5 against the spread in their last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Las Vegas Raiders (odds)
Regular Season Record: 6-7
The Raiders snapped a two-game losing skid by eking out a 16-14 road win over the Cleveland Browns last Monday. Prior to that, Las Vegas lost to the Washington Football Team at home and to the Kansas City Chiefs on the road in Weeks 13 and 14, respectively. The Raiders were without tight end Darren Waller still in the Browns game due to injury, so his status should be monitored ahead of Week 16. Also, unlike in the first meeting with the Broncos, the Raiders won’t have Henry Ruggs this time around. Zay Jones and Foster Moreau seem ready to step into expanded roles, though. Jones had 67 receiving yards on six catches against the Browns, while Moreau caught seven passes for 65 receiving yards.
The over is 7-3 in the Raiders’ last 10 games at home.
Writer’s Prediction
The Raiders win, 24-22.
