Somebody get Giannis Antetokounmpo help. The two-time league MVP did the heavy lifting again for the Bucks in Game 6 in which he poured in 44 points and collected a mammoth total of 20 rebounds. He also went 14/30 from the field and 14/15 from the free-throw line. Jrue Holiday had 17 points but was 7/17 from the field, while Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis combine for just 10 points. It’s been repeatedly proven in the series that Antetkounmpo is an unstoppable force, but the Celtics would gladly let him dominate as long as his teammates keep on shooting blanks, which was the case in Game 6. In other words, the onus in Game 7 for the Bucks is on the likes of Holiday, Lopez, Portis, and even Grayson Allen.
The Bucks are 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 road games versus a team with a winning home record.
Betting on the Boston Celtics (-5)
Regular Season Record: 51-31
Jayson Tatum made sure that the Celtics will have one more game to play, as he exploded for 46 points on 17/32 from the field in Game 6. Marcus Smart also rebounded from his nightmarish performance in Game 5 by pounding out 21 points to go with seven assists and five rebounds. He also did not turn the ball over at all, which only showed how locked in he was – the same attitude he needs to have in Game 7. In at least twoof their losses in the series, the Celtics seemed to have the game in the bag until some questionable decisions and unfortunate plays in the clutch favored the Bucks. In other words, the reasons for Boston’s losses to the Bucks are fixable, as shown in Game 6 where the Celtics made sure that they own every quarter.
The Celtics are 5-1 against the spread in their last 6 games after one day of rest.
Writer’s Prediction
The Bucks win, 108-103.
