FAVORITES

Scottie Scheffler (+1100)

The default choice it seems at the moment for a favorite pick is Scheffler, who hasn’t shown any significant signs of slowing down. Scheffler has won three of his last six starts, and while he’s not made it to the top 10 in either of his two most recent starts, he still looked good in those tournaments; he finished with a T18 at the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans and T15 at the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson. Scheffler is third and sixth so far this season in terms of birdie average (5.10) and scoring average (69.719), respectively.

Jon Rahm (+1400)

Rahm has finally broken through with a win this season when he edged the rest of the field early this month at the 2022 Mexico Open at Vidanta. He’s skipped the last two PGA TOUR events but should be a popular pick again heading to this week’s action down in Tulsa. Rahm has missed all but just one of his 11 starts this season and has also sneaked into the top 10 in two of his last couple of starts.

Collin Morikawa (+1600)

The season is going just fine for Morikawa even though he is still on the hunt for his first win of this campaign. He is 9 of 10 so far and has collected a total of six top 10s, including a pair of runner-ups. The first one of those second-place finishes was at the 2021 THE CJ CUP @ SUMMIT back in October. The second was a T2 at the 2022 The Genesis Invitational last February. As for his current form, Morikawa, who finished fifth at the 2022 Masters Tournament, went T26 at the 2022 RBC Heritage and T29 at the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

HIGH-VALUE SLEEPERS

Cameron Young (+9000)

Here’s what we said about Young in our 2022 PGA Championship sleepers preview:

At his current price, how can you not think of Young as a potential sleeper pick? He has been hot of late, with a T3 at the 2022 RBC Heritage followed by a T2 at the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship. Those came after a missed cut at the 2022 Masters Tournament, which shows the resiliency of this 25-year-old Scarborough, New York native. That’s now four top 10s (three runner-ups) for the rookie, who is also 11 of 16 this season.

Keegan Bradley (+11000)

Here’s what we said about Bradley in our 2022 PGA Championship sleepers preview:

The 35-year-old Bradley is also in rhythm heading to the tournament in Tulsa. He has made the top 10 in each of his last three starts, which includes his T2 at the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship. Prior to that, he finished tied for eighth at the 2022 Valero Texas Open and tied for fourth at the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. That’s the best three-start stretch Bradley has had so far this season, wherein he’s gone 13 of 16 with five top 10s and seven top 25s. He could just be the surprise of the tournament down in Oklahoma.

LONG SHOTS

Chad Ramey (+50000)

Ranked 119th in the world, Ramey hit paydirt this season already when topped the 2022 Corales Puntacana Championship last March. Could he come out of nowhere again and win this weekend?

Brendan Steele (+40000)

Steele has made the cut in 10 of 16 starts this season but has gone 5 of 5 in his last five, including a T4 at the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Writer’s Prediction

Collin Morikawa wins the 2022 PGA Championship.
