Betting on the Wisconsin Badgers (+17.5)
Record: 2-1 Overall / 0-0 Conference
Wisconsin beat the New Mexico State Aggies at home with ease last Saturday, 66-7. The win came after the Badgers suffered an upset loss at the hands of Washington State. Against the Aggies, Wisconsin’s defense showed out with two interceptions that were both taken to the house. Meanwhile, running back Braelon Allen ran all over New Mexico State’s defense for 86 yards and three touchdowns on just 15 carries.
Wisconsin is 6-4 against the spread in its last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Ohio State Buckeyes (-17.5)
Record: 3-0 Overall / 0-0 Conference
Ohio State stayed undefeated through three weeks of the season with a 77-21 destruction of the Toledo Rockets at home last Saturday. It’s the perfect warm-up for the Buckeyes before they play a much tougher opponent and against a conference rival in Wisconsin. CJ Stroud toyed with Toledo’s defense, passing for 367 yards and five touchdowns on 22/27 completions. It also felt great for Ohio State to see wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba back in action after missing a game with a hamstring injury.
Ohio State is 9-1 straight up in its last 10 games. During the Buckeyes’ last five games, the total has hit the Under three times.
Writer’s Prediction
Ohio State wins, 44-20.
