Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals (-4.5)

Regular Season Record: 0-2

The Bengals are only several months removed from making the Super Bowl. But their 2022 NFL season isn’t reflecting that nicely so far. They are now winless through two games following losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers (23-20 OT) in Week 1 and to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 on the road (20-17). It’s really hard to win for the Bengals if Joe Burrow’s offensive line continues to be inept. That protection unit was supposed to be tighter but Burrow just got thrown to the ground six times by the Cowboys. Maybe he’ll get more time in the pocket against the Jets, who only have three sacks in two games.

The Bengals are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games overall.

Bet on the Bengals

Betting on the New York Jets (+4.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-1

The Jets played like a bunch of miracle workers Sunday, as they somehow pulled off a 31-30 road win over the Cleveland Browns despite being down by double-digits with less than two minutes remaining in regulation. Joe Flacco went 26/44 for 307 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions. The Jets are going pass-heavy with Flacco under center, and it doesn’t seem to be a bad thing at all for New York. Garrett Wilson’s confidence got fed big time in the Browns game after coming up with 102 receiving yards and two touchdown grabs on eight receptions and 14 targets.

The Jets have covered the spread in four of their last six games.

Bet on the NY Jets

Writer’s Prediction

The Bengals win, 27-21.
