The Washington Commanders opened up their 2022 NFL season with a win but have since lost two games in a row. In their last outing, they suffered a 24-8 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, as they were unable to get the job done on either side of the field. Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are having success even without Dak Prescott. Will the Commanders get back into the win column when they travel to Arlington on Sunday? Or will the Cowboys win their third game in a row, with or without Prescott anew? Check out our preview of this Commanders vs Cowboys game in Week 4 of the 2022 NFL regular season.

Betting on the Washington Commanders (+3)
Regular Season Record: 1-2
It’s going to be hard for the Commanders to win games if they aren’t going to protect Carson Wentz. That sounds very elementary, but it needs to get reiterated after Wentz got sacked nine times for a loss of 58 yards in the Eagles game. A little bit better protection in Week 4 could go a long way for Washington, as Wentz has shown he can have great chemistry with his receivers. Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel have both been producing good yardage when Wentz isn’t getting bludgeoned in the backfield, as evidenced by the Commanders’ high-scoring games in Weeks 1 and 2.
The Commanders are 11-4 against the spread in their last 15 games in Week 4.
Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (-3)
Regular Season Record: 2-1
Somehow, the Cowboys are finding ways to win even though they are missing Dak Prescott. Prescott is a long shot to make a return in Week 4 even though he said that there’s a chance he would be out there to fave the Commanders. In any case, Cooper Rush has been providing steady play under center. Dallas might also get back wide receiver Michael Gallup next Sunday, so that’s a potential additional weapon for Rush (or Prescott) who had 215 passing yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions on 21/31 completions in the Giants game. Watch out for the Cowboys’ defense to wreak havoc too against Washington’s atrocious pass protection. They just had five sacks in Week 3.
The Cowboys are 6-0 against the spread in their last six games versus a team with a losing record.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cowboys win, 23-21.
