Quinn Ewers continues to ball out. Against Iowa State, he racked up three more touchdowns to add to his season total. In Week 6, he had four passing touchdowns against just an interception in the win against the Sooners. Meanwhile, running back Bijan Robinson rushed for 135 yards on 28 carries. Robinson now has rushed for at least 100 yards in each of Texas’ last five games. With Ewers and Robinson humming and with the overall momentum Texas is enjoying right now, the Longhorns are going to be more than just a handful for Oklahoma State’s defense which is not really looking as good as it was in 2021.
Texas is 6-4 against the spread in its last 10 games.
Betting on the Oklahoma State State Cowboys (+5.0)
Record: 5-1 Overall / 2-1 Conference
The Cowboys couldn’t rope in a win in Week 7 despite leading for the most part of the game against TCU. Nevertheless, the Cowboys remain a dangerous opponent for any team, even for the streaking Longhorns. For one, Oklahoma State will be playing at home in Week 8. The Cowboys are undefeated as a home team this season. The last time they were in Stillwater, the Cowboys beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Week 6, 41-31. Oklahoma State’s offense is explosive still and should be able to keep up with Ewers and the Longhorns’ attack. The Cowboys entered the TCU game ranked sixth in the nation with 42.3 points per contest.
Oklahoma State is 6-3-1 against the spread in its last 10 games as the home team.
Writer’s Prediction
Oklahoma State wins, 28-27.
