Betting on the Kansas State Wildcats (ODDS)
Record: 16-12 Overall/7-8 Conference
Kansas State is finding its groove again. The Wildcats had looked wobbly when they lost consecutive games to the Texas Tech Red Raiders and to the Oklahoma Sooners but they have definitely come alive in a grand way of late, as Kansas State has won its last two games against the Iowa State Cyclones (61-55) and the Baylor Bears (75-65). The Cyclones and the Bears are two of the toughest teams not just in the Big 12 but in the nation, so the Wildcats’ wins against those programs say a lot about how good this Kansas State really is. The Wildcats also beat Oklahoma State at home last January, 65-57.
Kansas State is 6-4 against the spread in its last 10 games.
Betting on the Oklahoma State Cowboys (ODDS)
Record: 16-12 Overall/7-8 Conference
Oklahoma State is looking for its way out of a slump. The Cowboys failed to rope in a win in any of their last three games, and are coming off an 85-67 loss at the hands of the West Virginia Mountaineers last Monday in Morgantown. The last two games of Oklahoma State were on the road, so a home game could be what the Cowboys need to finally end their skid. So far this season, the Cowboys have won eight of 15 games in Stillwater, including against the likes of Iowa State and the TCU Horned Frogs. Oklahoma State isn’t much of a scoring team, but it is top 20 in the nation in terms of adjusted defensive efficiency.
Oklahoma State is 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Kansas State wins, 72-70.
