Betting on the Kansas State Wildcats (odds)
Record: 19-6 Overall/7-5 Conference
The Wildcats are coming off a 71-63 road loss in Lubbock at the hands of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. It was a loss not many saw coming, but it’s one Kansas State will have to get over, as it looks to regain its footing this Tuesday in Norman. Kansas State’s leading scorer this season, Keyontae Johnson, is hoping for a better offensive performance this Tuesday after scouring just nine points on a salty 3/11 shooting versus the Red Raiders. He entered the Texas Tech game averaging 17.6 points. The Wildcats also have a defense that can stymie the Sooners, who are already offensively challenged in conference play.
Kansas State is 6-4 against the spread in its last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Oklahoma Sooners (odds)
Record: 12-13 Overall/2-10 Conference
Oklahoma has turned sub-zero cold, with the Sooners losing all its last four games following a shock win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in Norman late last January. The Sooners are coming off a 78-55 destruction at the hands of the Kansas Jayhawks at home on Saturday. In that game, the Sooners shot just 35.7 percent from the field and made only 4 of 17 attempts from behind the arc. Despite their struggles this season, the Sooners are still 7-6 straight up in home games and showed they can be very potent when at their best as evidenced by the win against Alabama.
Oklahoma is 7-3 straight up in its last 10 home games versus the Wildcats, dating back to 2013.
Writer’s Prediction
Kansas State wins, 74-70.
