Betting on the Oklahoma State Cowboys (odds)

Record: 9-7 Overall/1-3 Conference

Oklahoma State picked up a loss last Tuesday at the hands of the Kansas State Wildcats on the road, 65-57. It’s the second loss in a row for the Cowboys. Oklahoma State’s offense hasn’t been producing much, causing the team to stall, but it can always count on its defense. The Cowboys are seventh in the nation with an adjusted defensive rating of 88.6. They are also fifth nationally with opponents registering just 42.3 eFG%. Facing Baylor’s defense, however, offers hope for Oklahoma State’s attack. The Bears are just 10th in the Big 12 with 118.8 points allowed per 100 possessions.

Oklahoma State is 4-0 against the spread in their last four meetings with Baylor.

Betting on the Baylor Bears (odds)

Record: 10-5 Overall/0-3 Conference

Baylor, which will face West Virginia Wednesday, is also in a tailspin. The Bears are 0-3 straight up in their last three games after falling prey to Kansas State last Saturday via overtime at home, 97-95. Despite the loss, the Bears’ lethal offense was on full display in that contest. Adam Flagler led the Bears with 23 points, while Keyonte George had 22. Baylor has one of the best offenses in the nation, as they are averaging 80.9 points per game – 16th overall. While their defense has been leaky, the Bears might not have to worry much about Oklahoma State scoring a ton against them, as the Cowboys just don’t seem to have the firepower to make Baylor pay.

The Under is 4-2 in Oklahoma State’s last six games as the home team.

Writer’s Prediction

Baylor wins, 74-69.
