Betting on the Memphis Grizzlies (ODDS)
Regular Season Record: 40-26
Even without Ja Morant, the Grizzlies are winning games. After defeating the Golden State Warriors and the Mavs in their last two games –both at home – the Grizzlies hit the road to start a 3-game journey away from Tennessee. In their 112-108 win last Saturday over the Mavs, the Grizzlies leaned on Desmond Bane and David Roddy, who had 25 and 24 points, respectively. Bane will have to see an expanded role while Morant is out, while Roddy’s performance versus the Mavs gives the rookie the confidence to do well again this Monday. T
The Grizzlies, who are averaging 115.8 points per game, have seen the total hit the Under in seven of their last 10 outings on the road.
Betting on the Dallas Mavericks (ODDS)
Regular Season Record: 34-34
The Mavs are on a skid, as they have lost their last two games. In the recent loss to Memphis, Dallas also did not have the pair of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, but still lost by only four points. There is also a big chance that both Doncic and Irving will be active for Monday’s showdown against the Grizzlies, and if they do get the clearance to see action, that will be bad news for Memphis, which lost the last time it visited Dallas. Back in October, the Mavs hosted Memphis and scored a 137-96 win, with Luka Doncic coming away with 37 points, while Christian Wood scored 25 points to go with 12 rebounds. On the season, Dallas is fifth in the NBA with a 56.5 eFG%.
The Over is 3-0-1 in the Mavs’ last four home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Mavs win, 122-110.
