[sc:NFL240banner ]This week’s unanimous waiver wire golden boy is Miami’s DeVante Parker. Nathaniel Reeves of FantasyPros and the other two pundits on this here article praised the rookie for stepping up big-time in the two games as a starter in place of the injured Rishard Matthews by nabbing at least one touchdown and 60 receiving yards in each of those contests.
Still not convinced with those numbers? Well, when you consider that Parker only had four (!) receptions from Weeks 1 to 11, you know that the product out of Louisville’s NFL debut will end with a bang, with or without Matthews back in the team’s offense. The Giants’ leaky secondary is on tap on Monday night as well, so grab him from your free agency pool now before it’s too late.

Tight End | Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Over at Yahoo, Andy Behrens is high on picking up two Tampa Bay players from the waiver wire. Not only are the Bucs playing like actual playoff contenders right now, they’ll also have the delight of taking on the Saints and their wasteland of a defense this coming Sunday.
Those two supposed and unheralded beneficiaries from the date with Orleans are backup running back Charles Sims, and recently-reactivated tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Without a question, Doug Martin remains and will remain the team’s feature back. However, Behrens stated that Sims has still averaged nearly 10 touches and 4.7 yards per carry this season, and those numbers could go way up this coming Sunday.
Meanwhile, Seferian-Jenkins’ return from his nasty shoulder injury this past weekend was hardly promising (just six targets with three receptions for 31 yards). Then again, Jameis Winston found plenty to love from ASJ earlier this season before the injury, and Behrens speculates that the two will bust out together in Week 14 against their NFC South rival that simply refuses to play D.

Quarterback | Blaine Gabbert | Matt Schaub

Wide Receiver | Ted Ginn Jr. | Dorial Green-Beckham | DeVante Parker |
Tight End | Richard Rodgers |
Lastly, Jimmy Dinsmore from Scout reinforced FantasyPros’ similar decision to pick up San Francisco’s Blaine Gabbert, who has found his stint in the Bay Area to be a fruitful one.
The Niners are much more competent on offense with Gabbert at the helm, with the former Jacksonville bust having generated a respectable 63 percent completion rate and 963 passing yards in the four games he started in place of afterthought Colin Kaepernick. With the slumping Browns up next, Gabbert might just see his fantasy value skyrocket just in time for a QB-starved fantasy team.
Dinsmore also backed one of Yahoo’s suggestions above in Tennessee wideout Dorial Green-Beckham. Marcus Mariota’s ball distribution in the Titans’ passing game remains uneven. But if DGB’s career-best 119-yard outing (on five catches with one TD) from Sunday is any indication, Mariota may no longer have to continually scour his weapons downfield for a reliable receiver week-in and week-out.
Green-Beckham is certainly an attractive option now in keeper leagues, yet his projected value for the impending fantasy football playoff season is quite hard to pass on as it stands.
