Heading into the second last week of the NFL, most fantasy football leagues are heading into their final week of the year. This means it’s likely that you’re in the finals in your football pool. If you’re still standing, let me just say, well done! However, there’s no trophies for second place and if there is in your league, well your league sounds ridiculous. [sc:NFL240banner ]A second place ribbon I could understand, but a trophy!? Come on now.
Either way, the last week or the second to last week is a big one. If you’re still alive, listen up…
Now, if you’re not all for fantasy sleepers and want to find out the team sleepers for Week 16, this link is for you.

Your Week 16 fantasy football sleepers
Quarterback – Cincinnati Bengals – AJ McCarron
The kid out of Alabama seems to be doing everything right so far for the Bengals. Since filling for the injured Andy Dalton, McCarron has thrown three touchdowns and hasn’t had a QB rating under 90 through two games. Despite a pair of picks two weeks ago, he’s been extremely accurate and will head into Denver with a group of healthy receivers. Last week he took on the 49ers without AJ Green for the last half because he left with injury. However, Green looks like he’ll be healthy again, and the AJ to AJ connection will get it’s first true look.
Wide Receiver – Minnesota Vikings – Stefon Diggs
Yes, we’ve mentioned Stefon before, but this game has his name written all over it. When the Vikings host the New York Giants this weekend, they’ll be playing all of their starters and they will also be doing it with a dinged up AP. As we well know, the run game is everything for the Vikings. Without it, they’re not sitting in a playoff position two weeks from the postseason right now. With AP a little worse for wear though, it opens the door for the passing attack to take over. I mean let’s face it, they will have to turn on the pass game eventually anyway or the playoffs will be short-lived for the Vikes. With that said, Teddy Bridgewater has shown he doesn’t like throwing the ball to Mike Wallace or Charles Johnson. His go to guy more often than not, seems to typically be the new kid on the block. In doing so, Diggs had a pair of TD’s last week against Chicago. With that, if he hasn’t been scooped up in your pool already, now is the time to do it.
Defense – Buffalo Bills
One of the funniest parts of the late NFL regular season so far had to be the play of new quarterback Kellen Moore of the Dallas Cowboys. It’s never fun to laugh at the kids but the swiss cheese o-line, also known as the Dallas Cowboys o-line, really let him have it. Moore was running for his life more often than not from the New York Jets defense and it will be no different this time around in Buffalo. Moore threw one touchdown and three picks in his debut and should he get the nod again, expect the Bills to be ready.
Their defense has underwhelmed all season long, but they are now finally at the point of pure pissed-offedniss (it’s a new word). The team has been officially eliminated from playoff contention and all they have to look forward to now is playing with a bitter attitude. Watch for the Bills D to be angry and torch the Cowboys this weekend.
