Betting on the Buffalo Bills (-5.5)

Regular Season Record: 8-3

For the first time in two weeks since Week 11, the Bills will be playing away from Detroit. They defeated the Cleveland Browns in Week 11, 31-23, then took down the Detroit Lions, 28-25 – both at Ford Field. Buffalo’s offense has come alive again since a 20-17 upset loss on the road against the New York Jets in Week 9. In three games since, the Bills have averaged 29.6 points. New England’s defense isn’t too shabby, but it just got lit up by the Minnesota Vikings on Thanksgiving Day.

The Bills, who are second in the league with 28.1 points per game, are 4-5-1 against the spread in their last 10 outings overall.

Betting on the New England Patriots (+5.5)

Regular Season Record: 6-5

The Patriots saw their three-game winning streak come to an end in Week 12’s 33-26 road loss to the Vikings. Although their defense got torched by Minnesota, the Patriots showed plenty of life offensively. Mac Hones threw for 382 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 28/39 completions. DeVante Parker had four catches for 80 yards, while tight end Hunter Hendry had 64 receiving yards and a touchdown. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson led the team with just 36 rushing yards but had 76 receiving yards on nine receptions. Buffalo’s defense has shown some cracks of late, which the Patriots’ suddenly reinvigorated attack could take advantage of on Thursday.

The Patriots are 3-1 against the spread in their last four games overall.
