Kevin Kisner

One golfer who’s expected to contend this week is Kevin Kisner (+2,500). The American has been playing some incredible golf this season, already posting four top-10 finishes this campaign. He finished in second place at the WGC-HSBC Champions tournament before going one better with a one-shot victory at the RSM Classic last November. He continued his excellent form at the Sony Open last month, firing a 15-under-par total of 265 to finish in fifth place.

Key to Kisner’s resurgence this season has been his solid hitting off the tee. He is fifth in the PGA Tour in driving accuracy percentage, with a 72.94 percent clip. That will come in handy when tackling the narrow fairways of the TPC Scottsdale course. If he can regularly find the fairways at the Phoenix Open this week, chances are Kisner will further lower his 69.437 scoring average this season.

Bubba Watson

2016 Waste Management Phoenix Open Sleeper Picks / Predictions

If there’s one golfer primed for a breakthrough win at the Waste Management Phoenix Open this week, it’s got to be Bubba Watson (+900). The American has had plenty of close calls in this tournament before, finishing runner-up the last two years and ending up in the top-10 a couple more times.

One of the main reasons why Watson is a perennial threat in this tournament is his prodigious length off the tee. He is third in the PGA Tour in driving distance, averaging 320.9 yards per drive this season. That will be a major weapon for Watson as he navigates this long 7,266-yard, par-71 TPC Scottsdale course.

Kevin Na

2016 Waste Management Phoenix Open Sleeper Picks / Predictions

Looking for a great sleeper this week? How about Kevin Na? Yes it has been about four years since Na last won in the PGA Tour but he has an excellent chance of ending that barren run at the Phoenix Open this week.  He has fared extremely well in this tournament in the past, recording four top-5 finishes here at TPC Scottsdale.

If that wasn’t enough, Na is starting to rediscover the form that made him one of the best golfers in the world. He has finished second or third in four of his first six events this season. With the form that he is in right now and his experience with this TPC Scottsdale course, expect Na (+2,500) to post some red numbers and contend for the title this week.
