Betting on the Arizona Wildcats (odds)

Record: 14-2 Overall/3-2 Conference

At the time of this writing, Arizona is coming off a 74-61 loss last Saturday to the Washington State Cougars at home. That loss snapped the Wildcats’ eight-game win streak. They will look to get back to their winning ways Thursday against the Oregon State Beavers on the road – an assignment Arizona should be able to take care of, given the fact that Oregon State is just ranked No. 221 on KenPom. In any case, Arizona will be riding its offense when it takes on Oregon this coming weekend. Arizona is second overall in the nation with 85.8 points per game and 10th with a 56.3 eFG%.

The Over is 5-1 in the last six games between Arizona and Oregon in Eugene.

Betting on the Oregon Ducks (odds)

Record: 9-7 Overall/3-2 Conference

Oregon will be playing the Arizona State Sun Devils first this Wednesday before preparing for Arizona. The Ducks improved their conference record to 3-2 after beating the Utah Utes, 70-60, on the road last Saturday. N’Faly Dante led the way for Oregon in the Utah game, as he scored 17 points with 12 rebounds, while Will Richardson added 11 points to go with four assists. There’s not much to write home about the Ducks, but they are a team that plays incredibly slow, and that could be the perfect way for them to combat Arizona’s high-scoring offense.

Oregon is 4-1 against the spread in its last five home games versus Arizona.

Writer’s Prediction

Arizona wins, 78-74.
