Betting on the USC Trojans (odds)
Record: 17-6 Overall/9-3 Conference
The Trojans are making a charge to the top of the Pac-12 standings, as they are now just a game behind the top spot in the conference standings. That’s after they defeated the Washington Huskies at home last Saturday, 80-74. USC has now scored at least 77 points in each of its last four games, and that offense is driving the success of the team of late. In fact, USC is No. 1 in the Pac-12 with 107.1 points per 100 possessions adjusted. The Trojans don’t turn the ball over many times, which is also why they are able to maximize possessions. They are No. 1 in the conference with just a 16.4 percent turnover rate, though, they might not have to worry much about Oregon’s defense. The Ducks are eighth in league play in adjusted defensive efficiency.
USC is 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Oregon Ducks (odds)
Record: 14-10 Overall/8-5 Conference
After losing to the Arizona Wildcats last Thursday on the road to the tune of a 91-76 score, Oregon got back up and defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe last Saturday, 75-70. N’Faly Dante and Keeshawn Barthelemy led the Ducks in that game with 18 and 15 points, respectively, while Will Richardson added 14 points for Oregon, which is putting up 70.8 points per game so far this season. The Ducks are leading the Pac-12 in 2-point percentage with a 55.7 percent accuracy on shots taken from inside the arc against league competition. Dante is always a threat in the paint, as he’s shooting 72.3 percent on attempts taken around the rim.
Oregon is 5-5 against the spread in its last 10 games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
