Top Games to Bet On Today

Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets (7:30PM ET)

Line: Chicago Bulls (+3.5) at Brooklyn Nets (-3.5); total 186.5

Betting on the Chicago Bulls

[sc:NBA240banner ]The Bulls finally seem to have solved their scoring woes. Chicago–ranked 30th in scoring–has scored 100 or more points in four straight games for the first time since 2010, with all four effortrs resulting in wins. The Bulls are 9-1 SU/ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Five or more players have scored in double-digits in seven of their nine victories, including yesterday’s 109-90 win over the Knicks. DJ Augustin led seven Bulls in double-figures, and Joakim Noah notched his second triple-double of the season with 13 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high 14 assists.

Chicago Bulls, Joakim Noah, NBA

Betting on the Brooklyn Nets

After a franchise-worst 44-point defeat at Portland last week, the Brooklyn Nets have bounced back nicely with two consecutive wins against the struggling Nuggets and Bucks.

Every Net player scored in last week’s 112-89 win at Denver, where they held the Nuggets to just eight first quarter points. Meanwhile, Marcus Thornton and Andray Blatche combined for 44 points off the bench in the Nets’ 107-98 win at Milwaukee on Saturday.

Those wins gave the Nets a winning record on their seven-game road trip, but they’ll nonetheless be happy to return to Brooklyn where they’re 8-2 SU in their last 10 home games.

Prediction

Excluding their win against a Spurs team that was without Duncan, Parker and Ginobili, the Nets have lost to the last six winning teams they’ve faced, including a road loss to the Bulls. With Chicago firing on all cylinders at the moment, tonight’s match-up doesn’t figure to be much different. Expect Chicago to win and cover the 3.5-point spread as road underdogs.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Washington Wizards (7:00PM ET)

Line: Memphis Grizzlies (-1.5) at Washington Wizards (+1.5); total 190.0

Betting on the Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies haven’t been travelling well lately. Four of their five losses in February have come away from the Grindhouse, including their last two road games at Charlotte and Oklahoma City.

The Grizzlies did begin March with a win, as they defeated the Cavaliers 110-96 at home. The trio of Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and Mike Conley all scored over 20 points, while Courtney Lee chipped in 19.

Memphis can snap its mini-road losing skid tonight in the nation’s capital. The Grizzlies are 8-2 SU in their last 10 games vs. the Wizards, while the over is 6-0 in their last six games.

John Wall, Washington Wizards

Betting on the Washington Wizards

If not for the Miami Heat, the Washington Wizards would actually have the longest active winning streak in the NBA right now. After losing three in a row in the middle of February, the Wizards are 6-0 SU in their last six games.

Granted, only one of those teams (the Raptors) has a record over .500, but Washington must still be commended for coping well with the loss of big man Nene so far. John Wall (21 points, 11 assists) and Marcin Gortat (18 points, 12 rebounds) are both averaging a double-double over the last six games.

Prediction

Wall and Gortat have been on a tear, but the Grizzlies have Marc Gasol and Mike Conley to keep those two quiet. Conversely, the Wizards don’t have anyone with the bulk to handle Zach Randolph down low now that Nene is gone. Look for Memphis to cover as road faovrites and end the Wizards’ streak.
