Top Bet Games to Bet On

Gildan New Mexico Bowl

Colorado State Rams vs. Washington State Cougars (2:00 PM ET)

It took five seasons, but the Rams are making a return trip to a bowl game for the first time since 2008. And it was mostly due to the success of the team’s offense, particularly on the ground. Colorado State is averaging 202.7 rushing yards per game. As a team, that number sits comfortably at 31st place in the FBS rankings. [sc:NCAA240banner ]

Shifting to individual play, sophomore running back Kapri Bibbs was undoubtedly the source of many opposing defenses’ headaches throughout the season. Bibbs finished eighth in the FBS with 1,572 rushing yards and second overall in rushing TDs with 29 end zone finds. Colorado State is 3-1 ATS in its last 4 games.

Odds: Colorado State (+4.5) vs. Washington State (-4.5), O/U: 66.0

While the Rams may own the ground, the air is clearly for Washington State to dominate in this game. The Cougars are ranked fourth best in in passing yards with 364.5 per game and their capability to launch such an air attack is hard to question. QB Connor Halliday could be in for a big day. Halliday is the FBS’ fourth best in passing yards with 4,187 and leads everyone in attempts with an astonishing total of 656. Washington State is 3-0 ATS in its last 3 games.

Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl

USC Trojans vs. Fresno State Bulldogs (3:30 PM ET)

Derek Carr, Fresno State, NCAA

Despite the coaching quandaries that have dominated USC news this season, the Trojans will remain focused in bringing home a bowl title. If they do, it will most likely be due to their tenacious defense, which they hope hasn’t left with former coach Ed Orgeron.

Under Orgeron, the Trojans went 6-2 SU, including a five-game winning streak. It was also under Orgeron that USC pulled out their biggest win of the season when it sent Stanford’s hopes for a BCS National Championship appearance down the drain.

Newly hired Steve Sarkisian is now at the helm of a Trojans’ squad that is not too generous in giving up points. The team’s scoring defense is 21st in the FBS with 21.3 points allowed per contest. USC is 5-1 in its last 6 games overall.

Odds: USC (-6) vs. Fresno State (+6), O/U: 63.0

Derek Carr and his wide receivers’ production are utterly off the charts. With Carr quarterbacking, the Bulldogs are the best-ranked passing and receiving team with 4,917 yards. Carr’s favorite target, Davante Adams, is second with 1,645 receiving yards and tops everyone with 23 receiving TDs.

Without a doubt, the Bulldogs’ aggressive passing offense has the ability to dizzy the Trojans’ defense. Fresno State is 3-1 ATS in its last 4 games.
