[sc:NBA240banner ]All is well in Cleveland once again after LeBron James led the Cavaliers to an emphatic 97-88 win over the Charlotte Hornets to snap their two-game losing rut. James scored 27 points and dished out 13 assists for the Cavs who are now just half a game behind the Chicago Bulls for the Central Division lead.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will look to cut into that lead even further when they face the Atlanta Hawks later tonight. They will have a battle in their hands, though, as the Hawks are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, having won 10 of their last 11 games. They are coming off a tight 93-86 win over the Chicago Bulls.

The Cavaliers are 3-0 ATS in their last three meetings with Atlanta at Quicken Loans Arena.

Writer’s Prediction

The Cavs edge past the Hawks, 94-89.

Houston Rockets vs. Denver Nuggets (10:30 PM ET)

Line: Houston Rockets (-3.5) at Denver Nuggets (+3.5); total: 206.5 – view all NBA lines

Houston is sure glad they have Dwight Howard back in their fold after he led the Rockets to a convincing 108-96 win over the Denver Nuggets. Howard scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Rockets in his first game back after straining his right knee a month ago. James Harden joined in the fun as well as he recorded his third career triple-double (24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists) Saturday night.

The Rockets will once again face the Denver Nuggets tonight, this time at the Pepsi Center. The Nuggets will fancy their chances of grabbing the win this time around as they are 4-0 in their last four meetings with the Rockets at home. Shooting guard Arron Afflalo has emerged as a capable scorer to counter Harden. Afflalo had a season-high 31 points on 12-of-20 shooting (4-for-6 from downtown) against the Spurs’ tight defense on Sunday.

Writer’s Prediction

The Nuggets stun the Rockets, 95-87. Create a betting account now and cash in on the best games of the day.
