Betting Preview for the New Orleans Pelicans vs Denver Nuggets NBA Regular Season Game on March 30, 2023

Where: Ball Arena, Denver, Colorado

When: Thursday, March 30, 2023, 10:00 PM ET

Line: New Orleans Pelicans (ODDS) vs. Denver Nuggets (ODDS) – view all 2020-21 NBA lines

TV Broadcast: NBATV

Betting on the New Orleans Pelicans (ODDS)

Regular Season Record: 38-38

The Pelicans saw their five-game win streak end last Tuesday on the road in a 120-109 loss to the reigning NBA champs, Golden State Warriors. They will look to recover right away with a matchup coming up against Denver, which they beat back in December at home, 121-106. The Pelicans are 15th in the NBA with 114.3 points per game but have raised the level on the offensive end of the floor of late, having averaged 119.6 points in their last five outings.

The Pelicans are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games after when their opponent had allowed at least 100 points in a prior contest.

Betting on the Denver Nuggets (ODDS)

Regular Season Record: 51-24

The Nuggets will bring with them a four-game win streak when they host the Pelicans later tonight. Denver is coming off a 116-111 win at home over the Philadelphia 76ers and prior to that, the Nuggets took down the Milwaukee Bucks, also at Ball Arena, to the tune of a 129-106 score. Those are two wins against legitimate title contenders for the Nuggets, who are ninth in the NBA with 116.8 points per game and 10th with just 112.7 points allowed per contest. Nikola Jokic is questionable to play, but the Nuggets should still have enough depth to combat New Orleans even if the MVP favorite gets ruled out. The Nuggets are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight home games versus a team with a losing record on the road. (The Pelicans are 14-25 as the road team this season, so far.) Denver also has won twice versus the Pels this season.

Writer’s Prediction

The Nuggets win, 118-112.
