TV Broadcast: NBATV

Betting on the Minnesota Timberwolves (+9.0)

Regular Season Record: 42-40

The Timberwolves are not ready for vacation just yet. With Anthony Edwards powering Minnesota, the Timberwolves managed to beat the Nuggets at home on Sunday, 114-108. Edwards torched the Nuggets for 34 points on 12/27 shooting, while Mike Conley provided 19 points and eight assists. Conley’s scoring production was very much welcome for Minnesota, but the Timberwolves hope to see Karl-Anthony Towns put together a monster game. KAT only had 17 points and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes in Game 4. Someone with his talent should be making more points. The Timberwolves are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus a team that had just allowed 100 points or more in a prior contest.

Betting on the Denver Nuggets (-9.0)

Regular Season Record: 53-29

The Nuggets failed to sweep Minnesota, but they are still in a perfect position to clinch the series win this coming Tuesday. For one, they will be playing at home, where they would still be even if they won in Game 4, as Minnesota owns the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. The last time they were at Ball Arena, the Nuggets crushed Minnesota in Game 2 to the tune of a 122-113 score. In the series opener, also in Denver, the Nuggets walloped the Timberwolves. 109-80. Nikola Jokic scored 43 points with 11 rebounds and six assists in Game 4, and he can definitely have the same performance at home, as he’s simply been so dominant this season. The Nuggets are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games following a setback.

Writer’s Prediction

The Nuggets win, 124-114.
