The NHL and the NBA Playoffs keep rolling along with two mouth-watering postseason games coming your way tonight. Opening the festivities tonight is the Game 5 showdown between Chicago and Nashville with the Blackhawks looking to end their Western Conference quarterfinals series with the Predators.
Over at the NBA, the Golden State Warriors look to consolidate their two-game advantage when they take on the New Orleans Pelicans in Game 3 of their Western Conference First Round matchup. The Chicago Blackhawks grabbed a commanding 3-1 series lead against the Nashville Predators with a nerve-wracking 3-2 triple-overtime win on early Wednesday morning. Defenseman Brent Seabrook was the hero for the Blackhawks, scoring a booming slapshot one minute into triple OT to give Chicago the victory in a game that lasted a whopping 101 minutes.
Action shifts to Nashville for Game 5 with the Predators now in a must-win situation. If they are to keep their postseason hopes alive, they need to find a way to get past Chicago goalie Scott Darling. Darling has been superb for the Blackhawks in this series, stepping up big time as a replacement for Corey Crawford. The rookie was immense in Game 4, making 50 saves for Chicago.
The total has gone over in Nashville’s last six home games.

The Golden State Warriors will head to New Orleans with momentum on their side after sweeping the opening two games against the Pelicans at ORACLE Arena. Key to the Warriors’ strong start in this series is the excellent play of backcourt duo Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Curry is averaging 28 points and 5.5 assists in the first two games while Thompson is averaging 23.5 points per contest.
They will have a battle in their hands, however, in Game 3 as the Pelicans have proven to be unstoppable at home lately. The Pelicans are 5-0 SU and ATS in their last five home games, with New Orleans trouncing its opponents by an average of 11.8 points.
For the Pelicans to extend their winning streak at home to six games, they need another gargantuan effort from big man Anthony Davis. Davis has been superb for the Pelicans in this series, averaging 30.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in the first two games.
The Warriors are 7-1 in their last eight road games against the Pelicans.
