Minnesota Timberwolves vs. New York Knicks (7:30 PM ET)
Line: Minnesota Timberwolves (+2.5) vs. New York Knicks (-2.5); total: 210.0 – view all NBA lines
Both teams were locked in a down-to-the-wire finish at the Target Center on Wednesday night. But New York managed to escape as the victor mainly thanks to Carmelo Anthony’s game-winning jumper with 2.3 seconds left to play. Now the Knicks head back home, where they are 4-1 SU and ATS in their last four games, for another game with the revenge-seeking Timberwolves, who have lost three in a row (0-3 ATS) and seven of their past 10 road games.
Writer’s Prediction
Minnesota (+2.5) wins it, 111-101.
Washington Wizards vs. San Antonio Spurs (8:30 PM ET)
Line: Washington Wizards (+9.5) vs. San Antonio Spurs (-9.5); total: 202.0 – view all NBA lines
Washington’s three-game road trip got off to a wrong start, falling to the Thunder on Wednesday night in overtime, 126-115. That was the Wizard’s third loss in their last three games (1-2 ATS) and, unfortunately, they might have to swallow another defeat versus the Spurs, who boast the third-best record (15-4) in the league right now. But San Antonio found themselves on the wrong side of an upset in its last home game, unexpectedly losing to an inferior Magic team, 95-83.
Writer’s Prediction
Spurs (-9.5) win and cover.
