Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies (8:00 PM ET)

Line: Golden State Warriors at Memphis Grizzlies – view these lines

[sc:NBA240banner ]The Splash Brothers are leaving big ripples for the Golden State Warriors. Lauded as the best backcourt in the NBA, Stephen Curry (23.7 points per game) and Klay Thompson (21.7 points per game) have led the Warriors to 16 straight wins. They face an interesting stylistic matchup against the frontcourt-heavy Memphis Grizzlies tonight.

The Grizzlies are just two games shy of the Warriors’ league-best 20-2 record. Memphis had won nine straight home games against Golden State before a 108-82 loss on December 7. The Grizzlies are prime for the picking after needing overtime to defeat the woeful 76ers 120-115 on Saturday. However, that disappointing performance came on the road. The Grizzlies are 11-1 at home with an average of 107.1 points per game.

Writer’s Prediction

The Grizzlies win outright.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Sacramento Kings (10:30 PM ET)

Line: Oklahoma City Thunder at Sacramento Kings – view these lines

Kevin Durant is back and the Oklahoma City Thunder are hotter than ever. The Thunder have won six straight games since dropping Durant’s season debut. Helping Oklahoma City gain ground in a talented Western Conference is another returning player in Russell Westbrook. The Thunder point guard has averaged 27.3 points per game in the eight games since returning from his hand injury.

The Thunder have a chance at further extending their streak against a DeMarcus Cousins-less Sacramento Kings. Cousins has been absent in the past nine games due to a case of viral meningitis. His team-leading points (23.5), rebounds (12.6) and blocks (1.5) per game have been sorely missed as the Kings have gone 2-7 in his absence. Without Cousins, Rudy Gay has shouldered most of the offense averaging 21.2 points in the nine-game run.

Writer’s Prediction

The Thunder continue rolling. Take Oklahoma City to win and cover.
