Line: Golden State Warriors (-7) at Miami Heat (+7); total 200.0 – view all NBA lines
The Golden State Warriors will look to extend their five-game winning streak later tonight when they face the Miami Heat in a showdown at AmericanAirlines Arena. The Warriors started their five-game road trip on a winning note Sunday as they edged past the injury-plagued Oklahoma City Thunder, 91-86.
[sc:NBA240banner ]Curry and Thompson led the Warriors once again as they combined for 35 points on 11-of-35 shooting to help improve Golden State’s record on the road to an impressive 5-1 slate. The same can’t be said about the Heat’s home record, however, as they have lost three of their last four games at Miami.
With Dwyane Wade still unavailable because of a hamstring injury, the scoring cudgels will fall once again on the shoulders of Chris Bosh. He has been superb lately, averaging 26.7 points in the Heat’s last three games.
The Warriors are 5-0 ATS in their last five meetings with the Heat at Miami.
Writer’s Prediction
The Warriors beat the Heat, 107-99.
Chicago Bulls vs. Denver Nuggets (9:00 PM ET)
Line: Chicago Bulls (+3) at Denver Nuggets (-3); total 204.0 – view all NBA lines
Pau Gasol and Derrick Rose made a triumphant return to the Chicago starting lineup last night as they helped the Bulls stave off a late Utah Jazz rally in a nail-biting 97-95 win. Gasol poured in 23 points while Rose chipped in 18 of his own as the Bulls stretched their lead in the Central Division to two games.
They will look to extend their advantage even further when they face the Denver Nuggets later tonight. It won’t be that easy, though, as the Nuggets are one of the hottest teams in the league today. Denver has won four games in a row after starting the season 2-7.
Key to their sudden revival has been their defense. During the streak, the Nuggets have limited their opponents to just 94.5 points per game and 41.5 percent shooting. In their last game against the Lakers, they held Kobe Bryant and co. to just 37.1 percent shooting and held them to fewer than 100 points even with the game stretching to overtime.
The Nuggets are 5-0 SU in their last five meetings with the Bulls at home.
Writer’s Prediction
The Nuggets extend their winning streak to five to even their slate to 7-7. Create a betting account now and cash in on these exciting NBA games.
