The American League All-Stars will head to the Midsummer Classic with momentum on their side as they have won the previous three All-Star games. Prince Fielder hit a go-ahead RBI single off LA Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw in the top of the fifth inning of last year’s All-Star Game to lead the American League to a thrilling 6-3 victory. Expected to lead the AL offense tonight is the red-hot Mark Trumbo. He is tops in the majors in homers this season with 28 to his name. That being said, the National League is expected to provide a stiff challenge as it has Kris Bryant on its side tonight. The Cubs third baseman is second in the majors in home runs (26) this season. He is hitting .286 with 65 RBIs this campaign.
