Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (7:00 PM ET)
Line: Miami Heat (+8) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (-8); total: 215.0 – view all NBA lines
Miami easily toppled a LeBron James and Kyrie Irving-less Cleveland team on Saturday, 120-92, handing the defending champs one of their ugliest setbacks of the season. But with the home-and-home series shifting to Quicken Loans Arena and with James and Irving active, it’s hard to see the Cavs losing two-straight to the same team. They are 7-3 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 home games overall, and have beaten the Heat in the last four meetings (4-0 ATS) as the hosts.
Writer’s Prediction
Cleveland (-8) wins and covers.
Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs (8:30 PM ET)
Line: Houston Rockets (+4) vs. San Antonio Spurs (-4); total: 220.0– view all NBA lines
The first three games between these two teams this season have been decided by no more than six points each, with the Spurs winning the previous two meetings. It’s safe to expect another nail-biter in this final meeting but San Antonio appears likely to win this one again as it currently carries a seven-game winning streak (3-4 ATS), which includes road wins at Los Angeles (Clippers) and Indiana. The Rockets, though, are winners of four of their last five—3-2 ATS—and will look to continue scoring their way to victories. They’re averaging 122.2 points in their past 10 contests.
Writer’s Prediction
Spurs (-4) win and cover.
