Milwaukee Bucks vs. Washington Wizards (7:00 PM ET)

Line: Milwaukee Bucks (+5) at Washington Wizards (-5); total 213.5view all NBA lines

Giannis Antetokounmpo is having a career year, and the Washington Wizards have been big contributors to his success. The Greek Freak is averaging 33.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists through two games this season. He’s coming off a career-high 39 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists to lead the Bucks to a 123-96 win over the Wizards on Friday.

John Wall had 18 points and 10 assists in that game to lead the Wizards. Wall is having a terrific December, with averages of 24.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 10.1 assists. He and backcourt mate Bradley Beal will look to lead the Wiz back to the win column tonight. Beal had just 10 points on Friday, but had gone eight straight games with 20-plus points and averaged 25.5 points during that span.

Writer’s Prediction: Giannis leads the Bucks (+5) to another win over the Wizards, 102-95.

Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys (8:30 PM ET)

Line: Detroit Lions (+6.5) vs. Dallas Cowboys (-6.5); total 45.0view all NFL lines

The Dallas Cowboys have clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC and home-field advantage in the playoffs with two games to spare after the New York Giants’ Thursday night loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys now have the luxury of giving their stars – notably Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott – some rest heading into the postseason. The Cowboys have gone 0-4 ATS in their last four games.

Meanwhile, the Lions (9-5), who are coming off a 17-6 loss to the New York Giants, still have it all to play for. They must beat the Cowboys to maintain their one-game lead over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North ahead of their crucial Week 17 clash. With the Cowboys unlikely to go full tilt, this game has the potential to be another low-scoring affair. The total has gone under in the Lions’ last eight games.

Writer’s Prediction: The Cowboys do enough to win, but the Lions (+6.5) cover in a close 23-17 loss.
