[sc:NBA240banner ]LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony may be the best of friends outside the court. But on it, they’re fierce rivals. James’ Cavaliers had a lackluster season opener last year, losing to lowly New York. They figure to be much better this time around entering this game with a 3-1 record. James is looking like the MVP that he could be averaging 22 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
Anthony is also looking good with the Knicks splitting their first four games. He’s averaging 23 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Anthony has gotten plenty of help from rookie power forward Kristaps Porzingis, who has averaged 11.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.
Writer’s Prediction
The Knicks keep it pretty close, but James and his Cavaliers still get the victory.
