[sc:NBA240banner ]Fresh off a 135-131 loss at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder look to bounce back strong when they face the playoff-bound Memphis Grizzlies. The Thunder will be led by Russell Westbrook, who notched another triple-double (31 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists) in a losing effort against Dallas.
Repeating such a performance will be a tall order for Westbrook against a Memphis defense that allows just 95.5 points per game. The Thunder are 4-1 ATS in their last five games, while the Grizzlies are 3-1-1 ATS in their last four home games against OKC. The Grizzlies ended their three-game skid on Monday, when they defeated the Sacramento Kings at home, 97-83.
Writer’s Prediction
Memphis wins, 103-95.
Colorado Avalanche vs. Anaheim Ducks (10:00 PM ET)
Line: Colorado Avalanche vs. Anaheim Ducks – view all NHL lines
Colorado has very slim hopes of making the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but beating powerhouse Anaheim later tonight is good enough as a consolation for the Avs. Colorado, which lost to the San Jose Sharks on Monday, 5-1, hasn’t beaten Anaheim in two tries this season. Anaheim, meanwhile, is seemingly rounding into peak form as the postseason nears. The Ducks extended their win streak to four games on Wednesday, when they beat the lowly Edmonton Oilers, 5-1.
Colorado is 5-5 in its last five road games, while Anaheim is 4-0 in its last four home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Anaheim wins, 4-1.
