[sc:MultiSportArticles ]Phoenix Suns vs. San Antonio Spurs (8:30 PM ET)
Line: Phoenix Suns (+5) at San Antonio Spurs (-5); total 210.0 – view these lines
[sc:NBA240banner ]The Phoenix Suns are on roll, going 9-2 SU/ATS over their last 11 games. They’ve averaged a league-high 113.6 points per game during that span. The Suns’ backcourt rotation has paved the way for their impressive run. Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, Isaiah Thomas and Gerald Green are all averaging 15 points or more over the past four games (all wins).
While the San Antonio Spurs have a quality guard in Tony Parker, his bouts with a thigh injury may leave him rusty in this game. The key for the Spurs will be to attack the basket with their big men. Tim Duncan should be lethal in the paint. He has shot .524 in the paint and should be able to exploit the Suns’ 46.8 points in paint allowed per game (29th in the league).
Writer’s Prediction
Take the Spurs to win and cover -5 at home.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors (10:30 PM ET)
Line: Cleveland Cavaliers (+12) at Golden State Warriors (-12); total 206.0 – view these lines
The Cleveland Cavaliers have an uphill battle taking on the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena tonight. The Warriors are 16-1 at home, going 12-4 against the spread in those games. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry should have an excellent showing from downtown after they combined for 10 three pointers against the Pacers on Wednesday night. The Cavs have allowed an average of 10.3 three-pointers per game over their last three contests.
The Cavs can fire back even with LeBron James still sitting out due to injuries. Kevin Love has been a monster with three straight double-doubles over the past three games. Kyrie Irving is also on fire after scoring a season-high 38 points on 15-for-26 shooting (4-for-8 from downtown) against the Pacers on Wednesday.
Writer’s Prediction
Love and Irving form a dynamic duo to lead the Cavs to cover +12.
