[sc:NHL240 ]Pittsburgh saw its four-game win streak come to a screeching halt when the Penguins suffered a 3-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday. The loss to the Avs also ended Pittsburgh’s four-game streak of four or more goals in a contest, averaging 4.5 goals per game during that mean stretch. The Pens now look to resume chasing the New York Rangers and the New York Islanders in the Metropolitan Division when they go up against the surging Anaheim Ducks later tonight. The Ducks, who are 4-0 in their last four games, feel confident that their defense can hold its own against Pittsburgh’s attacks. Anaheim has allowed just five goals over their last four games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
Anaheim wins, 3-2.
