Toeing the rubber in this series finale for St. Louis is the always-reliable Michael Wacha, who is 2-0 with a 2.82 ERA thus far this season. The four-year veteran was pretty much rocked during his season debut against the Pirates on April 5, as he allowed a total of 10 hits and five runs (four earned) across 4.1 innings. But since then, Wacha has relocated his form by winning his next three games. He’s surrendered just three runs and struck out a total of 12 batters in that stretch.

Over on the host’s side, Arizona will be countering with Rubby De La Rosa. He’s already made six starts, but has only gone 2-3 along with a dismal 5.94 ERA. In his previous start, though, he logged in six innings of one-run ball, with six strikeouts. De La Rosa could be in for another performance if the Cards underestimate him.

St. Louis has won seven of its last 10 games on the road. Arizona, on the other hand, has won four of its past 10 games with De La Rosa starting.

Writer’s Prediction

St. Louis (-120) wins it, 6-3.

Miami Marlins vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (10:10 PM ET)

Line: Miami Marlins (+113) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (-123); total: 6.5 – view all MLB lines

Kenta Maeda heads back to the mound

Getting the nod for the D-Backs is Jose Fernandez (1-2, 4.37 ERA), and he’ll be setting his sights on redemption. Fernandez got knocked around in his last appearance on the mound, allowing seven hits and four earned runs across six frames versus the Giants on April 23. Against the Dodgers though, the 23-year-old right-hander is 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP and .230 opponents’ batting average throughout three career starts.

Speaking of the Dodgers, they’ll be putting their trust on pitcher Kenta Maeda, who’s off to a historic start in his rookie season. He is 3-0 with a 0.36 ERA in four starts, and it’s going to be very interesting to see if Maeda can sustain his incredible form tonight.

Miami is 6-4 SU in its previous 10 road games. Los Angeles, meanwhile, is 4-6 SU in its last 10 games at Dodger Stadium.

Writer’s Prediction

Los Angeles (-123) wins it, 4-0.
