Charlotte Hornets vs. Phoenix Suns (9:00 PM ET)
Charlotte continues its seven-game road trip with a stop in Phoenix. So far, the Hornets have gone 2-3 SU and 3-1-1 ATS in their trip, including two wins—against Sacramento and the Lakers—in their last three. Kemba Walker has been a scoring machine, finishing with no less than 30 points in three of his previous four games. He should be able to keep it up against a Suns team that ranks 29th overall in scoring defense and has lost its previous three games and eight of their last 10.
Charlotte (-4) wins and covers.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Portland Trail Blazers (10:30 PM ET)
Russell Westbrook had another spectacular day at work, as he registered his 30th triple-double of the season in a thrilling 109-106 win over the Jazz. He had 40 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists—which was also his third-straight triple-double. Portland’s defense allows 110.0 points per game this season, but it managed to limit Westbrook to just 20 points on 7-for-19 shooting in what was a dominant 114-95 win for the Trail Blazers on Dec. 14. Holding down Westbrook again will be a lot harder, considering how he just imposed his will against Utah’s league-leading defense.
The home team has won in the first two meetings between OKC and Portland this season.
OKC (PK) wins.
