Washington Wizards vs. Boston Celtics (8:00 PM ET)
Line: Washington Wizards (+4) vs. Boston Celtics (-4); total: 218.5 – view all NBA lines
Washington definitely has the momentum now in this series now after winning Games 3 and 4 by 46 points combined and limiting Isaiah Thomas below 20 points during both victories. But with the action shifting back to The Garden, expect the Celtics to respond in a big way, especially from the aforementioned Thomas who scored a playoff career-high 53 points in Game 2. Can he put on another scoring onslaught to give control back to the men in green?
Writer’s Prediction
Boston (-4) wins and covers.
San Diego Padres vs. Texas Rangers (8:05 PM ET)
Line: San Diego Padres (+170) vs. Texas Rangers (-200); total: 8.5 – view all MLB lines
The Padres will be sending Luis Perdomo (0-0, 4.03 ERA) on the mound in response to the Rangers’ Yu Darvish (3-2, 2.76 ERA), who clearly has the advantage in this pitching matchup. He is 2-1 with a 3.08 ERA in four starts at home this season and carries a 7-2 slate with a 2.09 ERA in 12 career interleague starts. Perdomo, though, has found his control in his previous two starts—a stretch in which he’s yielded only four runs through 12 innings while tallying 10 K’s in total.
Writer’s Prediction
Texas (-200) wins, 5-2.
