Nashville just keeps on rolling, as the Predators got their fourth straight win Monday night with a 3-1 victory over the Islanders. Can they keep going against Boston? The Bruins stopped a four-game skid with a 2-1 win on Saturday also against the Islanders and will be looking to avenge a 2-1 road loss to Nashville back in Jan. 12.The Preds are 3-0 in the last three against Boston. The Bruins, meanwhile, are 5-1 in their last six at home versus Nashville.
Washington is at it again. Shedding any doubts about the readiness of the team for the playoffs, the Caps ended a four-game losing streak by going 5-1 since, a stretch that includes a 4-1 win over Arizona on Saturday. They’ll be up against a tougher completion later tonight though in the form of the Wild, who are going in a different direction, having lost eight of their last nine. The Wild are assured of a playoff spot but the losing has to stop before it damages the team’s morale any further heading into the postseason.
The Sharks stink more than all of the Sharknado movies combined right now. San Jose has lost its past six outings. The last two of which the Sharks looked absolute garbage, as they lost on the road to Dallas 6-1 and Nashville 7-2. They return home tonight against the Rangers, whom the Sharks defeated early this season 7-4. Will the Sharks right their ship? New York isn’t looking much better. The Rangers are just 2-3-2 in their last seven games and are fresh off a 6-3 defeat at the hands of Anaheim on Sunday.
